Decoding Complex and Chronic Patient Cases

Emily DeLucaMay 10, '23

This webinar introduces you to a model for differential diagnosis and treatment of the chronic and complex, been-everywhere-and-tried-everything, patient. Dr. Mark Force has largely worked with this type of patient for nearly 40 years. Recently, peer-reviewed and published research has developed a model for this cohort that integrates the limbic system, autonomic nervous system, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, neurotransmitters, methylation cycle, mitochondrial function, liver function, including detoxification pathways, chemical intolerance, and neurological organization into a whole, integrated and whole model.

Dr. Force blends conventional medical diagnostic, chiropractic, osteopathic, naturopathic, traditional Chinese medicine, and applied kinesiology methods into his practice. His approach to chronic and complex illnesses has evolved over the last 40 years, influenced by clinical observation, mentorship with eminent physicians, and review of the literature.

Key Learning Points:

  1. Learn the incidence, import, and pathophysiology of central sensitization syndrome.
  2. Discover how dysautonomia typically underlies most signs and symptoms.
  3. Understand why methylation and transsulfuration pathways are critical to healing.
  4. Explore the role of mitochondrial function and bicarbonate system.
  5. Learn role of chemical tolerance, how to identify it, and how to treat it.
  6. Discover how thiamine is often the key to resolving chronic and complex illness.
  7. Understand the critical role of trace minerals in resolving micronutrient malnutrition.
  8. Learn clinical pearls, both diagnostic and therapeutic.
